PUB MEALS

New to Solva, a 5 minute drive away is the riverside public house / restaurant The Hats & Barrels, dog friendly. The pub provides a fantastic menu with many seasonal Welsh dishes and specials available all year round, served 7 days a week. There is nearly always fresh fish amongst the specials and in the season locally sourced lobster, crab and mackerel subject to availability. Along with a great children’s menu you can be sure to find something for all of the family to enjoy!

A 2 minute drive up the hill is The Victoria Inn at Roch has its own brewery and serves fantastic real ales. The Victoria Inn can also be reach via footpaths across fields, a walk that takes about 1 hour. The food is excellent and dogs are welcome.

Further afield try The Sloop at Porthgain, set on a fabulous harbourside location. A cosy traditional hostelry with sea views offering hearty pub grub and locally caught fish specials.

A MEAL OUT

For Sunday lunch, we recommend The Rising Sun on the A487 in Pelcomb, a fantastic choice of meats and fresh vegetables. The Rising Sun is open all week and can be relied upon for good quality meals at all times.

In Solva, The Cambrian is one of our favourites, it gives you a great choice in a relaxed environment. We like to feel we cater for all, with a wide selection of meat, poultry, fish, game and of course vegetarian dishes using only the best local produce wherever possible. The menus reflect a simple yet sophisticated approach, which relies on the quality of the ingredients to speak for themselves.

In Little Haven, another favourite St Bride’s Inn where home prepared and cooked food are offered, utilizing fresh local produce where possible and served in peaceful and tranquil surroundings, with the emphasis on good fresh food and friendly services. Specialties of the house include the use of fresh fish; quality Welsh meat from local butchers.
