The only accommodation unit that we ask you to book prior to arrival is a double axle caravan, all other unit types are accepted.
The campsite spreads across 9 acres, at one end we have a slope which we have terraced giving 13 pitches which enjoy a sea view. All other pitches are on the level where there is no sea view due to the natural pebble bank which protects the village from the sea. Guests love to sit on top of the pebble bank at sunset and enjoy the magical vistas.
The minimum stay is one night.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at Newgale Campsite. All dogs must be kept on a lead on the campsite at all times. Doggy doo must be picked up, bagged and put into the green bins marked ‘General Waste’. We rely on dog owners to be responsible for their pets and to ensure we can keep the site a dog friendly haven. Please walk dogs along the road when passing through the non-dog area.

ELECTRICAL HOOK UP PITCHES –
These are available with or without water. We have one hard standing gravel pitch (not suitable for awnings or tents), as well as grass pitches which can take all unit types.
NON ELECTRIC PITCHES –
Grass pitches which are in a designated area of the site, these are not set pitches to allow flexibility for camping alongside friends. We have two areas, one is dog free and one is dog friendly.
If you wish to camp alongside friends who have a dog, the whole group should book dog friendly pitches. If this is not possible it’s only a short walk to the non-dog area.
Check In is 1pm and check out is 12 noon at the latest. Any extensions to pre-booked pitches are subject to availability.
If availability allows you can simply turn up on the day between 9am and 7pm and check in. At busy periods, please call us or check our Facebook page to see how busy we are and to avoid disappointment before you set out.

Yes, but they should be booked in advance and we ask that an adult leaves their telephone number for us should it be required.
We accept most credit and debit cards for pre-bookings online or at our reception. Onsite payment can also be made by cash. Please note there is no cash point within walking distance of the site.
In 2022 we will close at the end of October.
The WIFI is a free service, and is provided as is. The best coverage is around the reception area. At busy times the speed can slow down, and the connection or availability is not guaranteed at any time.
No open fires are allowed. BBQs on long legs are fine as long as they DO NOT BURN the grass. We also allow fire pits, but these must not burn the grass and be under control. Do not use BBQ’s or firepits in windy conditions. Disposable BBQs are NOT ALLOWED, please ensure any logs or charcoal placed in the BBQ bins are cold. Logs are available on site to buy. Firepits are available to hire on a 1st come, 1st served basis.
When pulling into the site entrance, you will see a barrier. Press the intercom button on your right or call us on 07539 906611 to speak to one of our team. Once the barrier lifts, drive along the tarmac drive in front of you to the back of the site and look for our Reception Caravan. One of our team will greet you and check you in.
When checking in for a pre-booked pitch, please give us your name. Any payments due will be taken and you will be issued with a 4-digit code which will give you access to the site and facilities block at any time. The code will operate for the number of nights paid for.
For walk ins, our team will check you in and take full payment for your stay. Please pay by the day if you are unsure how long you will be staying as payments are non- refundable. You will be issued with a 4-digit code which will give you access to the site and facilities block at any time. The code will operate for the number of nights paid for.
Electrical Hook up pitches – you will be given a hook up number and directions upon check in. Please ensure all your equipment and unit fits within the designated 6m x 12m pitch.
We don’t have fixed pitches in the open field area so once checked in, the staff member will direct you to an area where you can choose your own spot. Please ensure you have a minimum of a six metre gap from other camper units in accordance with fire regulations. A distance of three metres is acceptable between friends and family groups.
Yes, your car can be parked alongside your pitch.
All taps on site provide drinking water. Our fully serviced electrical pitches have their own water supply.
We have men’s, ladies and disabled toilet / showers facilities on site. Showers in the men’s and ladies operate with 20p and £1 coins, 20p for 2 minutes.
There is a free, outdoor, cold water shower, behind the facilities block, ideal for rinsing off wet suits and bodies after time on the beach.
We have a mobile phone charging station in the washing up and laundry room. The charger takes £1 coins, £1 for 1hr charging which should give a minimum of a 40% charge. To charge larger items please ask at reception, we will charge them for a small fee if we are not too busy and have the space to do so.
We have a washing machine and tumble dryer; both are operated with £1 coins. Please read instructions carefully. Strictly no dog bedding or sandy items to be put into these machines. Sinks are available to rinse out sandy items.
Yes, this is for cool blocks only, no food please. All blocks should be labelled with a name and date of departure. Don’t forget to take them home with you at the end of your stay.
There is a Chemical Disposal Point for grey and black water at the end of the shower block marked “Elsan”. Grey water can also be released into the drain which is the grid at floor level near to the staff toilet door.
The nearest grocery stores with a good range of products are either Solva Stores (3 miles) and Pelcomb Garage (4 miles). Haverfordwest is 10 miles away and has most major supermarkets.
For 2025, we are working hard to open our new take away café in the building adjacent to the campsite. The café will be licenced so a bar will be open for takeaway drinks and snacks at weekends and evenings.
Our pizza van will operate for weekends in June and throughout the school summer holidays. It is open from 5pm to 9pm.
The Victoria Inn in Roch is a 5-minute drive up the road and serves food as well as its wonderful home brewed real ales. Try the Newgale and the Wow… for real ale lovers, these are amongst the best in the country! The Victoria is also dog friendly. There are numerous pubs in Solva which is a 5 minute drive in the opposite direction and many more in St Davids.
There are cash points in St David’s and lots in Haverfordwest. Both are a 15-minute drive away so make sure you bring cash with you for showers, charging and laundry facilities.
The Pembrokeshire coast is filled with beautiful beaches with golden sands, secret coves, and fascinating rock pools to explore - in fact, there are over 50 to explore.
We’re lucky to have so many Blue Flag beaches dotted along the 186-miles of stunning coastline, perfect for families with lots of useful facilities that make for a fun-filled day out near Newgale.
The campsite is directly across the road from Newgale Beach, 2 miles of golden sands, part of which is dog friendly all year round. The beach is literally a water sport centre, perfect for surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, wind surfing and much more.
Other great beaches in the local area include Nolton Haven, Broad Haven and Whitesands. The fabulous beaches of Tenby and Manorbier are only a 40 minute drive away.
The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path passes the campsite and takes in some stunning sights and lovely locations – walk as much or as little of it as the mood takes you. Local buses are available to bring you back to the site, check with reception for the timetables.
No generators are allowed on site and car engines should not be run to charge equipment. A phone charging unit is available on the campsite and we can charge larger items in our reception caravan for a small charge.
